BTS ARMY issues statement opposing Min Hee Jin’s return as ADOR CEO with global hashtag campaign | K-pop Movie News – Times of India

BTS’ dedicated fanbase, ARMY, launched a global hashtag campaign, #MinHeeJinOut, on September 16, to express their strong opposition to the potential return of Min Hee Jin as the CEO of ADOR. This campaign has garnered significant attention, trending in several countries including North America, the UK, Germany, Poland, and various parts of Southeast Asia.
In their statement shared on X, ARMY emphasized their collective stance, stating, “As members of the BTS ARMY community, we have witnessed misinformation spreading in our name. Through this statement, we wish to clarify our position regarding the ongoing management situation”, as quoted by AllKpop. They clarified their position with a firm declaration, “First and foremost, we are united in our opposition to the return of Min Hee Jin as CEO of HYBE’s subsidiary, ADOR”.
The statement further detailed their concerns, noting, “We are aware of her actions during BTS’s military service, consultations with shamans to harm BTS, and attempts to manipulate Korean media to create negative public opinion about BTS and ARMY”. ARMY voiced their frustration with any media stories or baseless claims that support Min Hee Jin, interpreting them as part of her broader agenda. They stressed, “Considering this situation, we view any media narratives or baseless accusations supporting Min Hee Jin as part of her agenda”.
They also noted that BTS may currently be unable to openly share their opinions, which strengthens their resolve against Min Hee Jin’s return. “We are also aware that BTS is not in a position to express their opinions freely at this time, which strengthens our stance”, ARMY added. In conclusion, ARMY called for Min Hee Jin to stop using the artist and the fanbase for her own ends, urging, “We urge former CEO Min Hee Jin to stop using the artist and the fanbase as shields to push her agenda and spread falsehoods”.
On August 27, Min Hee Jin was removed from her role as CEO of ADOR, with Kim Joo Young subsequently appointed as the new CEO. In reaction to this change, Min Hee Jin has sought legal action by filing for an injunction at the Seoul Central District Court. She is requesting the court to hold an interim shareholders’ meeting for ADOR and to reinstate her as executive director.
