'Singham Again' to end up with lifetime collection of around Rs 248 crore; trade thinks this multi-starrer lead by Ajay Devgn, is a semi-hit!

‘Singham Again’ released with ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’ at the box office on Diwali, November 1. The film has done reasonably well at the box office but is now nearing its lifetime run, as ‘Pushpa 2’ is now set to hit the screens. ‘Singham Again’ started with a bang and was ahead of ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’, but slowly the Kartik Aaryan starrer started gaining momentum over the Ajay Devgn film.
Both these films are in their fifth weeks at the box office and are now nearing their lifetime run. ‘Singham Again’ entered its fifth week after making Rs 6.45 crore in its week 4, according to Sacnilk.com. And now, uptil Monday (when it made around Rs 37 lakhs), the total collection of the movie now stands at Rs 247 crore. On December 5, ‘Pushpa 2’ releases and it will be dominating all the screens across the country. Hence, one can expect ‘Singham Again’ to end up with a lifetime collection of around Rs 248 crore. It’s not likely that the movie will cross Rs 250 crore though.
‘Singham Again’ can be called a semi-hit as more was expected out of it considering its budget and the ensemble cast – which boasted of Akshay Kumar, Ranveer Singh, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Deepika Padukone, Tiger Shroff and Arjun Kapoor, apart from Ajay. Hence, it would have been great if the film ended up with a lifetime business of around Rs 300 crore and more. ‘Stree 2’ had crossed a lifetime collection of Rs 550 crore. Nevertheless, ‘Sigham Again’ is one of the highest grossing movies of all times and there’s no doubt that it did well.
On the other hand, ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’ is a hit as the sequel had a lifetime collection of Rs 181 crore but the third installment has crossed Rs 250 crore mark.
