Varun Dhawan is gearing up for the release of his next action drama, ‘Baby John’, alongside Wamiqa Gabbi and Keerthy Suresh. The movie is set to hit theatres on December 25, coinciding with Christmas, and Varun shared his personal joy about Salman Khan playing a cameo role in the film.
In a recent promotional event in Mumbai, the actor was asked about his collaboration with Salman, with whom he shares a personal bond. He also spoke about how he compliments the ‘Kalank’ actor following their recent shoot together.
“Nowadays, people are collaborating mainly on Instagram, but we are doing proper collaborations in the traditional sense with this film, which feels great. He is one of a kind. He has the biggest heart in our industry. And I think when you see the film, all his fans are going to be very pleased,” Varun shared at the press meet.
When asked about the compliment he received from Salman after the shoot, he imitated the superstar and said, “Woh seedha compliment toh deta hi nahi (He doesn’t give a direct compliment). He just looked at me and said, ‘Oh baby jaan, bada ho gaya (You have grown up, baby).’ I don’t think that’s a compliment. But yeah,” Varun shared with a playful smile, which had everyone in the room laughing.
‘Baby John’ is produced by ‘Jawan’ filmmaker Atlee and directed by Kalees. It is an official adaptation of Thalapathy Vijay’s movie ‘Theri’, directed by Atlee.
