Yash Chopra launched several talented actors and among them, Sonam Khan stood out in the ’90s for her bold and charming presence, making a lasting impact on the glamorous film industry.
Sonam debuted in Bollywood with Vijay in 1988, starring alongside icons like Rajesh Khanna, Rishi Kapoor, Hema Malini, and Anil Kapoor. She is remembered for her remarkable roles in films like Ajooba and Tridev, and her popular songs, including Tirchi Topiwale, remain fan favorites.
In November 2024, Sonam Khan shared some throwback pictures from a photoshoot that got her into trouble with her parents. Known for her rebellious nature, she did a bold shoot where she looked intense while posing in the bushes. When the photos were published, her mother was so angry that she slapped Sonam and even tore the magazine.

She captioned it, ‘”When I got a tight slap! I thought I was gonna look great and was wearing a skin colour short dress which was hidden by the tall grass around. So when the images came out, my mom came with the magazine, gave me a tight slap and tore the magazine up. I may have been bold at that time, but my parents were always very protective of me. Nonetheless, I was always a rebel with a cause. At least that’s what I thought!”
