According to the Sacnilk website, ‘Mufasa: The Lion King’ has collected over Rs 3200 crores worldwide, making it an all-time blockbuster movie. Coming to the India collections, the film has raked in Rs 131.83 crores in 16 days and the India Gross collections stand at Rs 150.5 crores. The overseas collections for this nostalgic animation movie stand at Rs 2025 crores.
The English net collections for ‘Mufasa: The Lion King’ amount to Rs 44.36 crores and on day 16, as per the early estimates by the website, the film has collected Rs 1.76 crores.
From Hindi regions, the movie has made Rs 46.98 crore net box office collections, and on day 16, the film collected Rs 1.93 crore as per the early estimates. From Telugu, ‘Mufasa: The Lion King’ has collected Rs 16.84 crores and from Tamil, the movie has made a high of Rs 23.65 crores in 16 days.
Directed by Barry Jenkins, the original version of the movie has a voice cast comprising Beyonce, Donald Glover, Kelvin Harrison Jr., Aaron Pierre, and John Kani.
