Aamir Khan’s son, Junaid Khan, is stepping into the spotlight with his Bollywood debut Loveyapa, co-starring Sridevi’s daughter, Khushi Kapoor. At the trailer launch, Aamir shared a heartfelt reflection on his parenting and Junaid’s journey, admitting he had been an absent father but expressing immense pride in his son’s achievements.
“Mujhe accha lag raha hai ke Junaid ne apna career apne dhang se shuru hua hai,” said Aamir, meaning, “I feel happy that Junaid has started his career on his own terms.” The Dangal star acknowledged being consumed by his work over the years but took solace in the upbringing he and ex-wife Reena Dutta provided for Junaid and their daughter Ira.
Describing the moment as both emotional and joyful, Aamir said, “I am proud of how Junaid has conducted himself. The values instilled in him reflect the teachings my own mother gave me.”
The trailer for Loveyapa promises a fresh, humorous perspective on Gen-Z relationships. It begins with a playful exchange between Junaid and Khushi, leading to a twist as they swap phones and uncover secrets. The lighthearted rom-com delves into the complexities of contemporary romance, blending humor with drama.
Directed by Advait Chandan (Laal Singh Chaddha), the film also features Ashutosh Rana, Grusha Kapoor, Tanvika Parlikar, and Kiku Sharda in key roles. Produced by Phantom and AGS Entertainment, Loveyapa is set to hit theaters soon.
