The beloved Bollywood star Abhishek Bachchan has turned a year older today. Amid his birthday festivities, he took some time out to have an exclusive interaction with us, wherein he shared some beautiful anecdotes from his personal life.
Now everyone has their own birthday tradition, for the ‘Dasvi’ fame star working on his special day gives him the ultimate joy. “Every year I try to make sure I’m working on my birthday. I don’t know why. But to me shooting on my birthday is very comforting. Of course, I love spending the day with my family. And as soon I pack up on Friday evening I’m rushing home to be with my parents and wife. But it wouldn’t be a happy birthday for me if I’m not working.”
“Every year since I started my career in 1998 I’ve made sure that I’m shooting. I remember I was shooting with J P Dutta ‘Saab’ on my 23rd birthday,” he added.
Further, Abhishek Bachchan expressed gratitude as he turned a year older and wiser. “I’ve been very lucky. Which actor would get to act with four generations of actors—Waheeda Rehmanji and Helenji, then Anil Bhaiyya(Kapoor) and Om Puriji, followed by Urmila-Fardeen and finally Tara Sharma and Hrishita Bhatt who were my costars in OJJ and Sharaarat —in the first three years of his career,” mentioned the actor
In the same conversation, when we asked the birthday boy about his special relationship with his mother Jaya Bachchan, the actor said, “I’m close to both of my parents. But it’s a different equation with each.”
Though his sister Shweta Bachchan once during a ‘Koffee With Karan’ episode insisted that Abhishek is Jaya Bachchan’s favourite child, the actor told us, “I share a more traditional mother-son relationship with my mom. My father is more of a friend”
“It’s very hard to differentiate between the two, but there’s a difference between my relationship with the two,” he concluded.
Abhishek Bachchan was last seen in ‘I Want To Talk.’ The actor was highly lauded for taking up the challenging role and bringing out a beautiful subject to the audience. As he rings in his birthday today, his audience expects to see him in more diverse roles.
