Samantha Ruth Prabhu is single and happy. Infact, the actress is raring to go and wants to break stereotypes that a woman is happy and complete only if she’s married and has babies. In a recent interview, Samantha has spoken about it and revealed that she wants to breath these myths. The actress also got asked cryptically, if she feels bitter towards people in her past who have moved on to new relationships.
Samantha said during a chat with GQ about how she feels when people ask her if she’s doing fine. She said, “I think this whole concern around me doing alright at this time comes from the place where we still believe that the idea of being a complete woman is being married and having babies. And if at my age, you haven’t achieved that, then you are automatically sad and lonely, which is so, so wrong. And untrue. What will it take for us to accept that a woman can be happy and thriving and full of life, even if she doesn’t fit the exact standards that society has put on her?”
While there were no names taken in this interview, she was cryptically asked how she feels about people moving on in new relationships, she said, “I’ve been through too much in my life to dwell on that.”
For those not in the know, Samantha and Naga Chaitanya announced their divorce in 2021. Chay tied the knot with actress Sobhita Dhulipala on December 4.
However, Samantha was further probed if she feels joy, bitterness, or envy and she reacted, “Oh no. One quality that I completely dissociate myself from is envy. I refuse to let that be a part of my core. I think envy is the root of all evil. Everything else is fine, but there’s no space for anything as unhealthy as envy.”
