Unni Mukundan-led Marco is making history at the box office as one of the golden chapters in Malayalam cinema. The film, which had only 70 shows in the Hindi belt on Day 1, grew exponentially to over 1,000 shows in its third week. On its 20th day, Marco crossed the Rs 10 crore mark in the Hindi market—an unprecedented feat—making it the highest-grossing Malayalam film in Hindi of all time.
Interestingly, Marco recorded its highest Hindi earnings in the third week. The film earned just Rs 28 lakh in the first week in Hindi, which then surged to Rs 4.65 crore in the second week and Rs 5.82 crore in the third week. This brings the total Hindi collection to Rs 10.7 crore in three weeks.
The overall third-week collection of the film stands at Rs 13.05 crore, of which Rs 5.82 crore came from the Hindi version—contributing over 40% to the total collection.
The all-language cumulative collection of the film at the end of its third week is Rs 56.95 crore, with Rs 27.6 crore from the first week, Rs 16.3 crore in the second week, and Rs 13.05 crore in the third week.
According to reports, Allu Arjun, who recently set the box office ablaze with Pushpa 2: The Rule, called Marco’s director Haneef Adeni to share his appreciation for the film. The Icon Star not only congratulated the team on the movie’s success but also praised its high production values, strong storyline, and Unni Mukundan’s outstanding performance.
