Bollywood actress Janhvi Kapoor‘s rumoured beau Shikhar Pahariya, hit the headlines on Tuesday, with his strong stance against casteism.
The businessman won praise for his stern clapback at social media trolls over a castist remark on an old photo. The post in question was one that featured pictures with his pet dogs and Janhvi on the occasion of Diwali 2024. The troll left a comment that read, “Lekin tu toh Dalit hai (But, you’re a Dalit)”.
Shikhar shared a screenshot of the comment on his Instagram Story and responded, “It’s honestly pathetic that in 2025, there are still people like you with such a small, backward mindset. Diwali is a festival of light, progress, and unity concepts that are clearly beyond your limited intellect. India’s strength has always been in its diversity and inclusivity, something you clearly fail to grasp. Maybe instead of spreading ignorance, you should focus on educating yourself, because right now, the only thing truly ‘untouchable’ here is your level of thinking”.

Pahariya is not an actor himself but is often in the spotlight due to his relationship with Janhvi. His brother, Veer Pahariya, recently made his Bollywood debut with the film ‘Sky Force‘, co-starring Akshay Kumar, Nimrat Kaur, and Sara Ali Khan.
Shikhar and Janhvi have been in a low-key romance for the past couple of years. Although neither has publicly spoken about their relationship, they have never shied away from posting photos and videos together. When not in the city or busy with their careers, the two are often spotted holidaying together at exotic locations around the world.
A few days ago, on International Women’s Day 2025, Shikhar penned a heartfelt tribute to Janhvi, praising her strength and resilience. He wrote, “And from Janhvi—a woman who defies every expectation, whose fire refuses to dim—I learnt to be unshaken. In a world that constantly tries to mould women and tell them who they should be, she carries a rare determination—the kind that doesn’t break under scrutiny, and doesn’t bow to pressure. She loves fiercely, dreams boldly, and proves, every single day, that resilience isn’t about surviving—it’s about thriving”.
Janhvi was visibly touched by the post and responded with appreciation, calling Shikhar the “best son, best grandson, best friend, best ever.”
