The ‘Iron Lady’ from ‘Game of Thrones’, Brown is said to play a pivotal character in the new season, which revolves around the lives of Benedict Bridgerton (Luke Thompson) and Sophie Baek (Yerin Ha). Inspired by Julia Quinn’s novel ‘An Offer from a Gentleman’, the story promises a Cinderella-like twist with dutiful romance and moments that give butterflies.
According to Collider, Mrs. Crabtree plays a key role in the storyline of Benedict and Sophie. She works as a housekeeper for Benedict with her husband. The readers who are familiar with the book could guess that even though Sophie does light housework for them, Crabtree strives to treat her like a guest after finding her with Benedict.
The news of the fresh casting comes across just a few days after a Christmas special sneak peek of the table-read. Brown’s experience as a strong character with maternal instincts would be portrayed well by the creator of the series, Chris Van Dusen. However, the official announcements by the producers have not been made yet.
